How to combat addiction to sugar

Reduce consumption of sugar and get slim and healthy body

According to a study, the sugar can have a stronger and neurological effects like cocaine. Scientists have proved that it can show withdrawal symptoms when abstain from sugar.

Once such excess sugar is proven addictive, what can we do to get rid it?

- Physical exercise and milk

High sugar consumption acts like the brain's reward mechanism so it's hard to get it out of our lives. According to a study, proteins found in milk increase serotonin levels (a hormone that makes us feel pleasure). Meanwhile, the scientists emphasized that exercise can increase the levels of this hormone.
- Say "no" to low-fat products
To make up for the flavor, manufacturers add sugar to low fat foods. Pay special attention to sauces and desserts.

- Sleep Well
Sleep is directly related to appetite and cravings. When we sleep well, we strengthen our defenses against temptations. Conversely, lack of sleep can reduce our resistance.

- Make  a healthy snack
Sugar mislead us temporarily from hunger, but this effect was not durable. Healthy snacks such as fruits and nuts meet our energy while provide the necessary nutrients and reduce hunger.
