1200 calorie diet

One of the hardest things to do when committing to program a diet and exercise is patience. We must remember that we can not gain weight within two weeks, and we also can not eliminate it fast. You need enough patience and perseverance to lose weight, especially if you were older than 40 years. 1200 calorie diet may sound like a good idea but in fact can lead to health problems in the long term.

One of the worst things about dieting in general is people no longer want to maintain their weight, so they experience the yo-yo effect, ie their weight back and grow up. Health studies show that the addition and reduction of body weight is more dangerous to the health of a person rather than remain obese. People who experience effect yo-yo this also losing muscle tissue and even damage organs of the body. 1200 calorie diet may be able to give you quick results but you should be aware of all the risks to your health.

You should also remember that 1200 calorie diet not only reduces the number of calories from the foods you eat, but also reduce the calories you burn through exercise. If your life is not as active as the American population at large, so if you go to the gym or exercising, you need to count it as a negative calorie or calories burned. For example, if you enter 1200 calories every day, but burn 300 calories while walking for 30 minutes, this means you actually run a 900 calorie diet, and not a 1200 calorie diet, and 900 calories is far from enough for an adult.

This is why most health experts recommend diet and exercise 2000 calories for men, and diet 1600 calories to women. Not recommended to weight loss more than a half kilogram per week. Most of us want to reduce at least 2.5 pounds per week and we are inspired from the show such as 'The Big Loser' on NBC. But it is an extreme case with men whose weight was 200 kilograms and women with weight nearly reached 125 killograms or more. Of course they will lose weight more quickly than someone who is overweight only 10 or 15 kilograms.

That's why when they calculated weight of the results on the show they do not count in units of kilograms, but with percentage of body weight is lost. That's the only fair way to play the game. In the first week of 1200 calorie diet you will lose lots of weight, perhaps as much as 2.5 to 5 kilograms. Most of this weight is water weight, especially if you are doing a lot of aerobics where you sweat a lot. This could be misleading weight loss and many people find that they experience plateau around the second or third week and can make them feel irritated. You exercise and eat a little but you see very little results on the scales. That is one reason why you should not weigh yourself every day, but preferably once a week.|1200 calorie diet can provide quick results

Prevent obesity in children

Take care when you're pregnant to prevent obesity in children

How to prevent obesity in children - Almost all countries in the world now believe that obesity is a new epidemic that must be eradicated. The unhealthy lifestyle adopted by many people in urban areas is one of the triggers.

But actually there is one effective way to prevent obesity in children, which is to keep the mother's weight during pregnancy. Based on the latest research, children of mothers who have diabetes during pregnancy will have a high risk of being overweight at the age of 11.

The study also found that children of mothers who are obese, have a great chance to have weight problems than children of mothers who had normal weight.

"The best advice from me is, do not be overweight and you keep your body in good health before pregnancy," said Dr. Lois Jovanovic from the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute in Santa Barbara, California, who was not involved in the study.

Importance of maintaining a healthy weight before and during pregnancy is also emphasized by U.S. First Lady, Michelle Obama, since President Barack Obama's wife led a task to combat childhood obesity.

Diabetes that appears during pregnancy, or known as gestational diabetes, is a condition that has the potential to attack up to 8% of pregnant women. Therefore, pregnant women must maintain a healthy body weight. Being overweight combined with certain genes will be a risk factor for obesity in children.

Children of mothers with gestational diabetes often have heavier weight at birth than children whose mothers do not have gestational diabetes.

In a recent study, Dr. Sandra Hummel and her colleagues at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, conducted a study to determine the impact of gestational diabetes and weight status on the risk of a child who was overweight in childhood and became resistant to insulin.

The scientists examined data from two major German studies involving 1420 children born between 1989 and 2000. Registered 232 children from mothers with gestational diabetes, 757 were born to mothers with type 1 diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes and 431 children born from mothers without diabetes. Measurement of blood sugar levels and body weight is done several times to children aged 14 years.

The scientists found that maternal weight in early pregnancy can be the strongest predictor in cases of excess child weight and insulin resistance.

At the age of 2.8 and 11 years, many more children from mothers who are obese are overweight compared with children from mothers who did not suffer from obesity, said researchers in the journal of Diabetes Care. For example, at the age of 11 years, 46% of the children from obese mothers were overweight compared with 12% of children from non-obese mothers.

Nearly a third (31%) of children born to mothers who develop gestational diabetes are overweight at the age of 11 years compared with less than 16% of children from diabetic mothers and mothers with type 1 diabetes.
